I think this is one of the many firsts that my parents are eagerly waiting for me to do. The adults say that i smile many times while i am asleep and i have been trying hard in the recent days to do the same when awake. In the earlier days, the sleeping smile was very brief. You need to be super quick to see them or you will miss them. As i was trying to find out more details about how to smile and thus make my parents overjoyed, i inadvertently flexed my facial muscles so much that now a days my sleeping smile is long and sometimes you can hear a small sound! Thats how i have improved till yesterday. Now i think u cannot you miss my sleeping smile and if you did then it is time for you to go and visit your ophthalmologist :)
In the early hours today morning just after the feeding, I directly looked at my mommy, tried my best to coordinate all my facial muscles towards my goal and after couple of tries smiled at her for a brief moment! Mommy was delighted and she didn't really believe what she saw! Her son smiled looking at her and she was in cloud nine! She woke dad immediately to break the happy news and from then dad is trying all tricks that he knows to make me smile at him. Poor daddy! I am trying to smile again but i don't know exactly how i pulled it off with mommy. Already mom is telling that i have the cutest smile for a newborn baby (even when sleeping) and after getting a better handle of it soon, i am going to have a blast!!!

Sundara kaandam - 2nd time
Yesterday was Lord Rama's patabhishegam the second time. This time around i didn't listen daily like the previous one as mom and i was very busy doing many things on any given day. Also mom needs to rest often as she gets tired carrying me all the time. Mind you, i am not the small bump anymore! This time i get a chance to follow the story even better than the first time since i will know bits and pieces from the previous time. But this is just the beginning. I have to wait for many more years to fully get the grasp of the story! Dad is pointing the finger at me if it comes to Sundara kaandam but i think that he likes to listen to Lord Hanuman's adventures in search of Sita and i am just an excuse! I think it reminds him of his childhood days when he will be eagerly waiting for appatha to finish up that day's reading so that he can get his hands on the prasaadham :) Coming to prasaadham, aaya made vadai yesterday and everybody enjoyed it.
