Today was Rama's pataphishegam [Did i spell it correct?? You know this word was a challenge to me with my limited knowledge of vocabulary... Do you think i stand a chance in the spelling bee contests that usually has few ABCD kids in the US grand finals which gets extensively covered everywhere :) ] Mommy made sundal for prasadam. Hazelnut flavored chocolate was offered to God instead of the dhaal payasaam that mommy had originally planned as the instant payasaam mix was even older than me!
I found out from parents that today was the last day of the week long sundara kaandam recital. For the past week, everyday we listened to the wonderful story for almost an hour in the evening. For both myself and mommy this is the first time we are hearing the sundara kandaam while for dad it is a different story. He has listened to the story few times in his childhood days when my appatha used to read it once every year. I think he has a pleasant memory about the whole episode and he enjoyed more than us throughout the full recital. There are lot of good things that i can learn from this but i truly like the way God Hanuman conducts his business. Be it the way he flies across the ocean or the way he resizes himself depending upon his needs or while blasting the bad guys... I myself want to listen to it few more times so i can get a better understanding of everything going around the story.
Dad wants me to listen to sundara kaandam one more time before i jump into their lives. As of now i cannot do anything about it. Only mom needs to find time and help me with this. I am sure when i am out there, dad will play the recital many more times. I may be in the crib or he may be carrying me but i am eagerly waiting for the time when i could listen it from my appatha. This is my second story next only to 'Paatti vadai suttu kaaka grabbing kadhai' that i was hooked on for many weeks some time ago. I think i will do justice to that interesting anecdote only if i write a separate post about it. So that will be for later!
